Notice how each effect brings movement, depth, and refinement to the designs. You can also find a lot of these used throughout my website 👀
The logo changes its size and position as you scroll down.
2 rows of galleries that slide in opposite directions as you scroll past them. This would also make a cool background effect at lower opacity and text added over it.
Turn your about pages more interactive with this fun moodboard. You can also add PNG graphics and cut-outs for a more personal look, instead of just the square photos. Or perhaps add this to your portfolio for a unique touch!
The canvas background changes color as you scroll past. A very clean way to add intrigue to a more minimalistic site! Works best for larger canvases.
Photo zooms out as you scroll down. Create stand-out hero or photo-break canvases with this smooth effect.
One of my favorite subtle effects! It smoothly fills a lower opacity copy with full color as you scroll past it. Use it for larger headings.
Photos appear as you hover over the text. Use this for sharing portfolio pieces, shop items, services - options are endless!
Alternative option for canvas views. Instead of clicking through them, this effect allows you to lay out all the details horizontally!
Preloaders are good for pages that have bigger files, like longer videos and higher-quality photos. So if you're working with a videographer for example, this would be a helpful addition for larger pages.
Cool effect for simpler websites that have just a few pages. Give the visitors the option to toggle between 2 colors. You can get playful with it and coordinate them by moods, seasons, night, and day!
✓ Your own website(s)
✓ Websites you build for clients as part of a finished project, not as a standalone item
1. Read through the instructions and notes on the Notion page.
2. Add the demo pages with all the effects to your Showit library with the share key and duplicate it to always have the original to pull from.
3. Make sure to add the CSS and HTML to any of the sites/individual pages you want to use these effects on! You can always use the demo pages for reference and to see how everything is set up in the backend. You'll also have individual instructions for all of them on the Notion board under separate galleries.

I've been designing Showit websites and selling templates for over 5 years now, and have slowly dabbled in the world of code.
I collaborated with an amazing developer to create this collection of custom effects to help you bring your Showit sites to the next level - without overwhelming the users with too much happening on the page. I'm really proud of this collection and hope it helps ignite new creative ideas in the design process :)
Your new web design bestie, helping you elevate your Showit websites & add more play into the process!
